The woman boarded the AirAsia flight number 1585 around 9.15 PM from Ranchi and reached Bengaluru after midnight on November 4. The resident of New BEL Road in Central Bengaluru filed the complaint four days after the incident. In her complaint, she has accused the staffers of harassing her throughout the journey after she raised the issue of toilet being dirty. “When I reached Bengaluru airport, one of the ground staff asked me to apologise to the Captain and cabin steward otherwise they will hand me over to the cops. Three of them were making a gang surrounding me and said you don’t know who we are. We will take you outside and show you what we are. It was kind of a rape threat. I don’t know who said it but I heard someone saying that we will rape you,” she said. Meanwhile, the AirAsia issued a statement over the issue and said they followed the standard operating procedures for disruptive passengers. “The passenger resorted to verbal abuse against the senior cabin crew. The senior cabin crew then managed to calm the passenger down and resumed his duties. However, the passenger continued to be abusive,” the statement read. The incident comes to light a few days after a video of an IndiGo ground staffer allegedly manhandling a 53-year-old passenger on the tarmac of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in New Delhi. The scuffle had taken place on October 15 when the passenger was boarding a shuttle to his flight.
